Privacy Policy

Nutrition Act Co., Ltd. (“we”) engages in the business of research, development, planning, manufacture, marketing and sale of food products, health food products, nutritional supplement products, functional food products, cosmetics and other products.
In order to more strictly handle any and all personal information in our business, we have established and will implement and maintain the following Privacy Policy.

 

I. Basic Policy

 

1. We will comply with laws, national guidelines and other codes relating to handling of personal information.

2. We will obtain, use and provide personal information in an appropriate manner that takes our business description and scale into consideration. This includes our refraining from handling personal information beyond the scope necessary for attainment of specified purposes of use of such personal information and our taking measures to this end.

3. If we outsource the whole or any part of handling of personal information, we will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the outsourced service provider to ensure security of the personal information so handled by the outsourced service provider.

4. We will not provide personal information to any third party unless we have obtained a data subject’s consent to such provision or such provision is done in compliance with an applicable law.

5. We will take measures to prevent and remedy leakage, loss or destruction of personal information.

6. We will make efforts to appropriately and promptly respond to complaints and concerns regarding our handling of personal information. We will accept data subjects’ requests relating to their respective personal information which is subject to disclosure and which is held by us (more specifically, requests for notification of purposes of use of such personal information, requests for disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of or to such personal information, and/or requests for discontinuance of use or provision to third parties of such personal information). II. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

 

1. Information handled in the course of our provision of contracted services to our customers

(1) For the purpose of appropriately performing medical check-up services under services agreements with our customers.

(2)   For the purpose of appropriately performing product shipment services under services agreements with our customers.

(3)   For the purpose of making communications on seminars and recording organization of seminars.

 

* Such information may be used for promotional purposes, but we will anonymize the information so that data subjects cannot be identified, unless the data subjects give consent.

 

2. Telephone callers’ information and records of telephone conversations

(1) For the purpose of appropriately responding to telephone inquiries.

 

* Telephone conversations may be recorded in order to correctly understand and manage inquiries.

 

3. Information on our employees and hiring applicants

(1) For the purpose of hiring screening and employment management.

 

4. Information on users of SCNS (Self Creative Nutrition System)

(1) For the purpose of research and study in the field of health and nutrition.

(2)   For the purpose of provision and collection of health and nutrition information and academic information.

(3)   For the purpose of provision of training services.

 

5. Information on online shop users

(1) For the purpose of managing purchase orders and processing payments.

(2)   For the purpose of shipping our products and other goods.

(3)   For the purpose of sending marketing communications on our products and services and other communications, and providing after-sales services.

(4) For the purpose of conducing questionnaire and monitoring surveys.

(5) For the purpose of providing services and products in brick-and-mortar shops.

 

III. Handling of specific personal information

 

1. We will properly handle specific personal information in compliance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the Guidelines for Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information (for Private Entities).

2. We have established the Specific Personal Information Handling Regulations, which provide for and define safeguards for specific personal information.

 

IV. Cookies

 

Cookies are small information files sent by web servers to your browsers for effective Internet operation. We may use cookies for optimization of the content of our website and our services to meet customers’ specific requirements. Through browser settings, you may refuse to receive cookies, or cause alerts to be generated when you receive cookies. However, in such case, certain restrictions may be imposed on your use of our website, such as but not limited to unavailability of personalized features.

 

V. Collection of Personal Information from Website

 

We use SSL technologies on our website to enable secure transmission of encrypted personal information. In addition, in order to improve our services, we analyze usage of the website by making use of Google, Inc.’s Google Analytics services on the website. Data so obtained will be used by us solely for analyzing usage of the website, distributing behavioral targeting advertisements, and providing our other services. By using this website, any user will be deemed to have given permission to necessary handling of his or her personal information by us in the above-described manners and for the above-described purposes.
